CREATING ART DURING THE PANDEMIC ARTIST CYNTHIA WARDEN LAUNCHES THE REAL TIME ARTIST WITH SERIES OF OIL PAINTINGS FEATURING A RETROSPECTIVE OF EVENTS OF 2020 AND BEYOND

VISION 2020 2020 VISION Series Painting Real Events In Real Time

Los Angeles-August 2, 2021- In January 2020 Los Angeles based artist Cynthia Warden began her ongoing Vision 2020-2020 Vision series of oil paintings focusing on the the Political, Economic and Social events in real time for the year. The project started in January 2020 and continued throughout the year culminating in February 2021 after the Presidential Inauguration and the second Impeachment trial and acquittal of President Donald Trump. What developed, is this series of 25 paintings one every 2 weeks in real time for the entire year and beyond.

This week Warden launched www.therealtimeartist.com website to showcase her work.

“I was inspired by King Alfred of England (reigned 871-99) who decided to document through art and books his reign in real time and to preserve the history of events that shaped his wish to unify England against the Vikings. We were all locked down so it was a perfect time to begin the series” Warden stated. And as the months progressed the Pandemic, Cancel Culture, WOKE Corporations, Riots and civil unrest continued. the murder of George Floyd, the Presidential Election, the death of Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the “October Surprise” with Trump contracting COVID, Hunter’s Laptop, January 6th and the Aftermath of January 6th  were all in the news.

 The Vision 2020 Series was created out of a love for art and the interest in documenting the political, economic and social events of the year. What transpired was a year long journey of documenting events as they unfolded as the lockdowns continued. Also as the World rang in the New Year in January 2020 we had high hopes but no idea of what was in store. In America, President Trump was Impeached and Acquitted. This was an Election year and as we rolled into March 2020 the COVID-19 Pandemic struck the world and the massive lockdowns had began.

 The Real Time Artist will continue the journey painting “The Next Chapter.” This series will be focus on the continued current events of the day now that the Biden Administration is in power as the world navigates these times of change and the challenges of the future.
